چکیده

Regional changes in the flow velocity of Antarctic glaciers can affect ice sheet mass balance and formation surface crevasses. The anomaly a glacier be detected using Double-Differential Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (DDInSAR) technique that removes constant displacement two Differential SAR (DInSAR) images at different times shows only temporally variable displacement. In this study, circular-shaped ice-velocity anomalies Campbell Glacier, East Antarctica, were analyzed by 13 DDInSAR generated from COSMO-SkyMED one-day tandem DInSAR 2010–2011. topography bed obtained helicopter-borne Ice Penetrating (IPR) surveys 2016–2017. Motion of the Lambert Glacier estimated by using differential Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar

Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) is one of the most promising remote sensing technologies and has been widely applied in constructing topographic information and estimating the deformation of the Earth’s surface. Ice velocity is an important parameter for calculating the mass balance and modelling ice shelve dynamics. Ice velocity is also an important indicator for climate chang...

Flow dynamics of Byrd Glacier, East Antarctica

Force-balance calculations on Byrd Glacier, East Antarctica, reveal large spatial variations in the along-flow component of driving stress with corresponding sticky spots that are stationary over time. On the large scale, flow resistance is partitioned between basal (80%) and lateral (20%) drag. Ice flow is due mostly to basal sliding and concentrated vertical shear in the basal ice layers, i...

Observed and modelled ice temperature and velocity along the main flowline of East Rongbuk Glacier, Qomolangma (Mount Everest), Himalaya

Knowledge of present-day ice temperature and velocity is important in order to determine how fast a glacier will respond to present and future climate change. We apply a two-dimensional higher-order thermomechanical flowband model to simulate present-day ice temperature and velocity along the main flowline of East Rongbuk Glacier, Qomolangma (Mount Everest), Himalaya. We use recent (2005–11) ob...

Ice Velocity Variations of the Polar Record Glacier (East Antarctica) Using a Rotation-Invariant Feature-Tracking Approach

In this study, the ice velocity changes from 2004 to 2015 of the Polar Record Glacier (PRG) in East Antarctica were investigated based on a feature-tracking method using Landsat-7 enhanced thematic mapper plus (ETM+) and Landsat-8 operational land imager (OLI) images. The flow field of the PRG curves make it difficult to generate ice velocities in some areas using the traditional normalized cro...

Characterization of Snow Facies on the Greenland Ice Sheet Observed by TanDEM-X Interferometric SAR Data

This paper presents for the first time a detailed study on information content of X-band single-pass interferometric spaceborne SAR data with respect to snow facies characterization. An approach for classifying different snow facies of the Greenland Ice Sheet by exploiting X-band TanDEM-X interferometric synthetic aperture radar acquisitions is firstly detailed. Large-scale mosaics of radar bac...
